Mine heritage tour(newly lauched)

 

On 18 April 2015, The Antiquities Advisory Board declared the 5 construction sites at the Ma On Shan mine as Class 2 and 3 historic buildings.  We have specially launched the Mine Heritage tour to allow people to understand the history of the Ma On Shan mine.

 

Brief of story:

1.Learn about the miners’ stories: Explore the main areas of the mine such as the 240ml mine outlet above the mountain, the open area of the mine.

2.Understanding the mine village: Experience the lives of the mine villagers and the construction of the Sunnyside Church.

3.Lunch at a reminiscence village restaurant and through your taste, experience the past.

4.Gain knowledge of the mines and how the natural values of Ma On Shan.

 

This tour will enable you to experience the historic values of the mines, and through the different stories feel the spirit of these hardworking miners.

$225/px for non-members registering before 15 May 2016
