The grading of five historical architecture in Ma On Shan Mine is officially approved by Antiquities Advisory Board today. The five-building complex, known collectively as Lutheran Yan Kwong Church, which includes a primary school, a church, a kindergarten, a relief articles storage and teachers’ quarters, is classified as Grade III historical building.

Looking ahead, we will dedicate our efforts to preserve the forgotten mine history - a unique episode of Hong Kong cultural values. We hope public visitors to feel and experience in person the past mining history and the tenacity and camaraderie among miners.
